Netbook Reflection

Hi my name is Anthony, I go Panmure Bridge School.  I’m a year 5 student at the age of 10.  My teacher was Miss Sayers, but now it’s Mrs Miller.  This is my netbook reflection.

There are heaps of reasons why I like my netbook, one of them is using activities my teacher sets for me.  And it’s mine to work on, I get to choose my own password a couple of times.  I can search for images for my work or create my own pictures.

Negative things I don’t like about my netbook is my mouse doesn’t work properly, and sometimes I can’t exit fullscreen.  Some of the time I get a slow connection.

What I think is unusual is it’s way different to typing & I get to use drawing tools like tux paint.  Some themes is different to other themes.

I really liked using my netbook in 2012, because of the fun sites you can see and it helps me with my learning.  Its been an honour working with netbook and I can’t wait until next year.

My Art Reflection Of Ingrid Banwell's Art

My Ingrid Banwell Art Reflection

How well did I include the elements of Ingrid Banwell’s work?
I have plants and some patterns.

Something I really like about my art is it’s colourful and and my umbrella stands out.
Something I would improve if I could is make my art straight next time.

My Speech Reflection Video

My Speech Reflection

Learning intention: To write an interesting speech & present it to the class.
How well did I do with my speech?
My speech topic was a car called Bugatti, it wasn't interesting because I didn't write that much.
My voice was okay for my speech, but Faitele thought my voice was clear.
I stood relaxed & still when I was saying my speech.
The hardest part of my speech was being quite nervous and shy.
I am proud of my speech because I got up there & said my speech.

The Seven little star fishes

*
The mother told  her little star
fishes, “stay close to the rocks & don’t do anything stupid.
*
But the seven little fishes didn’t listen.  They played tag for one hour, then their Mum came &
growled her little starfish.

*
Tataraimaka was a big giant, who was fishing & caught the seven little fishes.
*
But then Tane the god of light came to rescue the seven little
fishes.

*
Then he took the seven little fishes and turned those little fishes into stars

Football

FOOTBALL

Football is fun to play.

Offside is in football.

On  a football  field is where you play soccer.

There is a spherical ball in soccer you use to play.

Bringing out the team is the job of kid mascots.

All Whites are excellent at playing football.

Lots of rich and famous people come to watch a soccer game.

Like rugby there are penalties, it’s the same as football.

My Holidays

BY:ANTHONY

Yellow Hat
The best part of my holiday was:
Going to a Tongan birthday.  It was a girls birthday party, me and my mum went to my church to pray in tongan and sing for the birthday girl.  Later after that, we went to Panmure community hall.  We had a huge party!  We started the party off with how to make a mud drink, some people were gathering around a young boy, he was about 17 or 16.  He had to get a huge stick and bang a rock on the stick.  But I was sitting so far I couldn’t even see what he was doing that much.  I just saw some women and men drink it.  Then came the birthday girl with some Tongan mats on her, but around her waist.  She went to the top of the stage, there was a long special table.  My mum was up on the table with her.  After, everybody went crazy!  We ate lots of food, it was sort of good.  Then we waited for the birthday girl to say a speech in Tongan and english, she was crying a little.  After she said the speech, some young girls were rubbed with oil on them.  Then they started to dance, everybody came and put some money on her, after that came a small girl with 100 dollars on her hair.  Once the music was she couldn’t do so everybody came and gave her lots of money on her.  Then the birthday girl came and danced, when she finished she thanked everybody for coming.  Everybody enjoyed the party.

Black Hat
During the holidays I didn’t like it when:
I had nothing to do that much, but watch TV.

Green Hat
Next holidays I would like to:
I would like to go back to Tonga again.

Khali the dwarf

Once upon a time in a small dwarf village in India there was a man called Khali.
He was very very poor, he had no family at all.  One day when Khali was walking back
to his house then he found 50 dollars lying down on the path, once he picked it up he felt so
happy, he went to the market and bought a lamp a golden lamp.  He took it back home and
looked and stared at it for hours, then he rubbed it, then all of a sudden a genie showed out of
nowhere. Khali was so thrilled and excited so much, the genies name was Eazy he said,
''I will grant you three wishes''.  Khali was really excited he thought about alot of wishes.
So his first wish was, ''I wish I could be really rich'', so Eazy said, ''your first wish is granted''.
Then Khali said, ''I wish I could think of a wish'' Then Eazy ''said your second wish is granted''
After Khali said no no no.  Then he thought really really hard, then he said I got a wish. Then he said I
wish could have 1 million wishes.  Then Eazy said ''your third wish is granted'' in a thrilled voice.

Then he lived in a rich house and a dwarf family.

the end.

Outcomes of bullying

If you are bullied tell the teacher or your parents or stay away from that person that
is bullying you.  Ignore their messages online or on your phone, don’t fight
back to the bully.  Stand up to the bully, don’t be alone when you’re standing up to the bully.

Dr. Ben Carson's trip

On Tuesday room 5, 7 & 6 went to Telstra Clear Stadium in Manukau to hear Dr.  Ben Carson speak about his life and job Mr Platt, Mrs Colenbrander, Mrs Burgess, Mrs Bruce & Mrs Slone went with room 7 but except for Mrs Slone and Mrs Burgess, she helped everybody that went.  So after we marked the roll for everyone that was going, we headed off to Telstra Clear in Manakau.  After that long ride, we got off at Telstra Clear we looked at it was huge.  Then we stretched out and formed three lines one line orange, one blue and one yellow.  After we did that we lined up in one line and walked and lined back up into our coloured lines.  We waited for 25 minutes in the hot sun.
Then a lady came up and said, go walk inside and keep walking straight to your seats
please, so we found our seats and waited again, after awhile the duffy song came up loud.  After the song, a man came up in a suit.  He told a story about when he first saw books, he thought it was a DVD cover so after, Dr.  Ben Carson came up.  He talked about his mum and about dreaming of being a doctor, last he told us about how he seperated two baby twins making the baby twins surviving.  After he talked we got free up and go and an apple.  After some people ate  their we went on the bus.  We drank our Up and Go.  When we got to school it was lunch.
