Matariki Story.

Here is my retell story of Matariki and how the seven stars separated their parents. My retell was supposed to be for the juniors but I think this is too complicated for them. Next time I need to work on who I'm writing this for.

The Seven little star fishes

The mother told  her little star
fishes, “stay close to the rocks & don’t do anything stupid.

But the seven little fishes didn’t listen.  They played tag for one hour, then their Mum came &
growled her little starfish.

Tataraimaka was a big giant, who was fishing & caught the seven little fishes.

But then Tane the god of light came to rescue the seven little
fishes.

*
Then he took the seven little fishes and turned those little fishes into stars
