My Ancestor Poem.

Here is my ancestor poem about my culture. I did the layout based on my thumb print
because everybody has a unique and a different kind of thumb.

At the beach.

At the beach Helen and Aiden were walking on the sand. They passed seashells and rocks. They walked through the water and swam.

PRETTY.

PRETTY

Never use the word PRETTY, our teacher said.
It doesn’t mean a thing!
Try…beautiful, attractive, appealing,
gorgeous, elegant, pulchritudinous,
good-looking, foxy, comely –
the choice is as long as a string!
But please, never use the word PRETTY,

it just doesn’t mean a thing!

My mist poem.

The mist comes in quiet like a snake,
coming in stealthy with it’s bait.
It moves around, threatening it’s food
waiting for it to make a move.
After the mist goes away the snake goes home with it’s
prey.

I hear..

When I think of Tonga
I hear, people going crazy.
I hear the markets full of people like the wilderness.
When we have food we all sit, all wait
and pray. On Sunday I hear, lots of people singing verses from the bible.

I am the sand.

I am the sand
waiting by the sea, I’m waiting for someone
to build me like a sandcastle.

People come on the shore and stand on me
and then they see how fun I can be.

I know someone...

I KNOW SOMEONE WHO CAN

I know someone who can
commentate as good as the commentators on  the sports games and the news.
I know someone who can
gobble as much food as a bear
I know someone who is more ferocious than a lion.
I know someone who can notify the time like a clock
I know someone who is persuasive.
And that someone is ME.
