I remember as if it were yesterday.
I remember as if it was yesterday when I had finished in Kindergarten. It was my last day of preschool, I was 4 and was very excited. When I went through the doors everybody had set up a party. All the 4 yr olds got a party on their last day. I got lollies, a hat and stickers.

Fantastic description Anthony! Try adding a few more describing words next time, that will really draw your audience into your writing.
